Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park & Ski Area

As the sport of snowboarding was growing and maturing during the early 90's, the founders of Raging Buffalo saw that snowboarders were being treated as second class citizens at the local ski areas. As a result, the concept of a "snowboard exclusive" area was born. It was this "snowboarder's only" stance that created the most buzz in the snowboard community.

A lease was arranged with the Kane County Forest Preserve and in January of 1993 the ski area previously known as Buffalo Park Ski Area became the site of Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park -- officially the world's first snowboard exclusive terrain park.

We invite you to join snowboarders from all over the midwest to see what all the hype is about. The terrain park changes constantly to keep the hills fresh. Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park contains two rope tows, half pipes, kickers, table tops, staircase and a magic carpet on the beginner hill.

Reservations are required for any online vouchers (Groupon, Livingsocial, Google, etc). Availability may be limited. BOOK YOUR SPOT HERE

RESERVATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all other lessons, learn to snowboard packages, or beginner packages. Lessons go out every hour on the hour. Check in at the boarding school for an instructor.

If you have a large group please call at least 24 hours in advance so we are prepared for your group and can confirm availability (this is for 15 or more).
